An Evening With Stefan

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Saturday 4th October 7.30pm

Working from the Old School in the village of Whitley Chapel in rural Northumberland Stefan has been building musical instruments for discerning musicians, who wanted a quality of power and depth of tone not available in a mass produced instrument, for over 30 years.

Come and listen to Stefan as he takes us on an audio/visual journey from those humble beginnings in the early 70’s through his successes, and the odd failure, to his present day recognition as one of the country’s, if not the world’s, top instrument builders.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine/juice and a luxury finger buffet during the interval.

Tickets: Adult £12.50 under 16 £5.00 ( Contact Kate Clarkson on 01434 673946 )

Straw Headed Peter

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

The Parish Hall Trustees invite you to an evening of festive entertainment presented by Northumberland Theatre Company. Straw Headed Peter is a cautionary tale for naughty children. A very funny, new telling of a classic tale for all the family - a refreshing breath of fresh air - dark, grotesque and hilarious stories for a dark time of year. So if you’re 5 to 95 come and join us on Friday evening 12th December 2008.
(Setails of times and costs will be announced nearer the date)

‘The World is full of lovely children
Happy sisters, loving brothers
This show is not for lovely children
This show is for the others.

Good boys and girls, well they’re dead certs
To all be getting their just deserts
But come and see what Santa sends
To Straw Headed Peter and his friends
Who all deserve more grizzly ends.’
